OK. I now got it running on my WFS6500.

Its amazing.... I am using transmission-remote-dotnet-3.12-installer.exe on my windows system to add torrents and to see the status.
One query how do i put "transmission-daemon" in autostart.

When ever there is a power failure, my 6500FS restarts, but transmission does not restart....

I need to putty to the 650FS and then type transmission-daemon

Appreciate ur help....

Can Joker or someone plz help me add transmission to the 6500FS startup?
Whenever there is a power failure, I have to come and start the transmission daemon again

I'd be interested in knowing the solution to this one myself, as I've been doing a fair amount of Googling to no avail. It take it the procedure is quite particular to this device (WMU-6500FS), as nothing I've read about Linux has helped me in this respect. My guess, however, is that we can't count on Joker for this.

It is a very embarrassing question...

transmission-daemon -h|grep config
-g  --config-dir           <path>          Where to look for configuration files

Rest in your hands.

Thanks Joker. Btw., it looks like they will be releasing ver. 1.90 today (10221, Feb. 16). Any chance you could compile that one soon?

Many thanks.

Joker has already created a file for the 1.90 on his site:

http://mgb111.pradnik.net/addons/soft-p2p/transmission-1.90.10222-100216.tar

Does any one know how to put transmission in autostart/ startup.

i put "transmission-daemon" in rc-local file but to no avail. Am i missing something?

Yep, 's got something to do w/rc-local. Mine works that way (meaning I put transmission-daemon in rc-local), though I just can't manage to get it to look for "configuration files" in the proper spot. First of all, I'm not sure what the configuration files are (settings.json by any chance?). I tried the -g option, though I'm not really sure if I got the syntax right.

Hi Joker, I see 1.91 is out. Could you please build this one?

Many thanks!

P.S. I guess, at some point, I'll have to learn how to build them myself...

Hi Joker,

I tried this command:

transmission-daemon -h|grep config
-g  --config-dir           <path>          Where to look for configuration files

But still when I restart the 6500FS, the transmission-daemon does not start automatically.

Joker or Somebody  who has been able to successfully run transmission at startup please provide the detailed steps.

Why don't you ask Filodej and post his answer here for all of us?

does Transmission report proper upload/download speeds for you guys? I've tried 3 different versions and none of them report the download almost ever, and upload speed is far from accurate... :S
