I have a wl-500GP and I would like to use my external usb disk. I have a WDC WD80 0UE-00HCT0 disk and two 2.5" disk bay. Unfortunatelly none of them can work with asus but many other disk bays works fine. Both two disk bay with the WDC disk works fine on other computers. One of them uses a CY7C68300B chip and the other uses GL811E. USB detection unreliable. Sometimes find the disk but usually not. If find the disk reading not possible. I can see many IO errors in the log.

Is there any ata2usb bridge issue on wl500g ? Or I just not enogh lucky to buy a compatible chipset ?
