(posted the same on openwrt forum)

hello,

can anyone help me getting enhanced-ctorrent installed on my WL-500gP please?

in the macsat tutorial only ctorrent, but not enhanced-ctorrent is installed, so i can not get sctcs to run

when i google for the enhanced-ctorrent, i always find:
ipkg update and ipkg install enhanced-ctorrent, which returns
Code:
root@OpenWrt:/$ ipkg install enhanced-ctorrent
Nothing to be done
An error ocurred, return value: 4.
Collected errors:
Cannot find package enhanced-ctorrent.
Check the spelling or perhaps run 'ipkg update'
root@OpenWrt:/$

so, where and how can i find this damn package then?

an other thing i tried was getting an older version (2.3) from nslu2, which failed due to libraries
Code:
root@OpenWrt:/$ ipkg install http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/ddwrt/cross/stable/enhanced-ctorrent_dnh2-3_mipsel.ipk
Downloading http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/ddwrt/cross/stable/enhanced-ctorrent_dnh2-3_mipsel.ipk
Installing enhanced-ctorrent (dnh2-3) to root...
Nothing to be done
An error ocurred, return value: 1.
Collected errors:
ERROR: Cannot satisfy the following dependencies for enhanced-ctorrent:
         libstdc++ openssl
root@OpenWrt:/$

thanks for any help!!

The one from the tutorial IS indeed enhanced ctorrent.

It is an older version though (version dnh2 from 2006-01-15 ).

Take a look at the enhanced ctorrent page: http://www.rahul.net/dholmes/ctorrent/

If anyone has a working build of the latest dnh3 from 2007-04-11, please do mail it to me :-)

Might just be a naming issue with the packages.

Is it installing sctcs that fails, or using it ?

installing is the issue

what i don't understand, why does it work for so many people with "ipkg install enhanced-ctorrent" and i can not find the pack?

what i did now was:
- install enhanced-ctorrent from
http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/ddwrt/cross/stable/enhanced-ctorrent_dnh2-3_mipsel.ipk
there i also found the missing packages libstdc++ and openssl

after that i was able to install and run sctcs, but it really sucks. cpu usages jumps to 100% when uploading a second torrent file and never ends.

i am really running out of ideas.
