Yes - it is possible to run xmail.

I will create a tutorial for it (on OpenWrt, but simular should be possible in Olegs) once I get the time.

I am currently quite busy with real life, as I have switched jobs and moved to a new city - it all takes time....

Only news is that it's a bit delayed.

I'll try to get around to it as soon as possible.

With some luck before newyears.

Thanks very much it's great  Wink
But I'm using oleg;s firmware and my problem is:

I can't to run XMCrypt to create password:
./XMCrypt haloo
./XMCrypt: can't load library 'libstdc++.so.6'

On my router is installed libstdc++

When I create password in windows so the same mistake is after running server

/opt/etc/init.d/S70xmail start
Starting XMail server: /opt/var/MailRoot/bin/XMail: can't load library 'libstdc++.so.6'

Can I fix it?

I cant guarentee anything on Olegs firmware.

The binaries (and the tutorial) is made specifically for OpenWrt - not for Olegs firmware.

Hello Green,

I use Oleg's firmware as well. Did succeed you're mailserver on olegs firmware based or not? I'm interested as well.

Thanks in advance,

I tried several times to get the xmail-server working. First problem was that I didn't get OpenWRT or X-WRT on my WL500W running. Now with oleg's firmware everything seems to be all-right, but when I try to install the libstdc++ i get the error-message

Installing libstdc++ (6.0.3-2) to root...
ipkg: Cannot create symlink from ./usr/lib/libstdc++.so to 'libstdc++.so.6.0.3': Read-only file system
ipkg: Cannot create symlink from ./usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6 to 'libstdc++.so.6.0.3': Read-only file system
ipkg: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6.0.3: Read-only file system

How can I fix this?

Regards

By using /opt  as target maybe?

Code:
ipkg -d opt install <packagename>
