I installed the PHP package in OpenWRT RC6 and I'm wondering why there is no /etc/php.ini. Is this normal?

did you install to /opt ?

Then it is in /opt/etc

You should make symlink.

Code:
ln -s /opt/etc/php.ini /etc/php.ini

No, I installed to /.
Maybe this file is missing in RC6. This would not be the first package which is broken in RC6.  Embarrassed

Can I download this file somewhere? I don't want to remove my otherwise functioning package and install it from RC5, just to get this sole file.

I found that it is easy to analyze the package files. The .ipk files are really .tar.gz files and can be unpacked with tar. They contain two .tar.gz files, one for data and one for control files. It is easy to examine and extract the data file with tar.

The php5-cgi package from RC6 is really broken, it does not contain the /etc/php.ini.  The same file from RC5 does it.

It looks like many of the RC6 packages lost some files. The lighttpd misses three shared libraries.

Next problem: php.ini from RC5 does not work together with RC6. Any phpscript (even the phpinfo()) prints "No input file specified".
