I took the plunge yesterday and installed White Russian RC5 on my WL-500G Deluxe. The router seems to function normally so far.  Looking at the web interface, it shows no DHCP leases.  There may be settings somewhere preventing the router from giving away DHCP leases.  I wonder which ones?

Access to the internet and DHCP leases are not the same thing !

If your client computer get's an LAN ip address from the router, dhcp is working.

What might not work is DNS though.
