Hi.
I need som ehelp in choosing wich firmeware to use.
I would like:
1. Easy config - I'm not good with Linux, but I'm not stupid and can use the console if I have too. Most of the commands in the tutorials make sense, but I can't come up with it myself.
2. Basic ruter config should still be available from web interface so that I can easily change them.
3. Would like to see me wl-500gx  on the network, so I need samba.... I think
4. Web interface torrent client
5. Printing
6. A good ftp server wich can create user with different access to different partitions.
7. One ext3 partition and 2 fat32 partitions.

I know, it's a lot, especially with minimum *nix config :-/
Is this possible or am I a lost cause?

All above is possible, except for the webinterface torrent client.

I havent seen such a client, for neither Olegs nor OpenWrt.

If I was you, I would go for the new OpenWrt RC5. It is a nice web interface for standard settings.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Do the torrent client have an autoimport feature, and can read/write to fat32? If they can, then it's just a matter of sending the torrent to the shared import folder on the network....
The openWRT interface supports all the ususal Asus wl-500gx features?

Not all the features.

You will not have ftp and web cam features in teh OpenWrt web-interface.

The OpenWrt Web Interface features all standard ROUTER settings, not other special applications of the router.
