there generally seem to be three issues with the printer server:
Support Mail from Level One.

End of the story → Only PCL5 and PCL6 printer are Supported. After my Support request, they edit the Productsheet on www.level-one.de, but not on http://global.level1.com/.

This sucks!

Configure the printer server with Xerox Phaser 3117 Printer

setting the Xerox Phaser 3117 Printer in Windows 2K/XP(NT based):

Windows 2000 and XP (NT based) have built-in LPR client, users could utilize this feature to Print. You have to install your Printer Driver on LPT1 or other ports (Standard TCP/IP port):

  1. Open Printers and Faxs.
  2. Select “Ports” page, Click “Add Port…”
  3. Select “Standard TCP/IP Port”, and then click “New Port…”
  4. Click Next and then provide the following information :
  5. Type address of server providing LPD that is our NAT device: 192.168.xxx.xxx (replace 192.168.xxx.xxx with your wireless file server IP address)
  6. Select Custom, then click “Settings…”
  7. Select “LPR”, type ” lp“ lowercase letter in “Queue Name:”
  8. Enable “LPR Byte Counting Enabled”.
  9. Apply your settings: click “Finish” Button
