there generally seem to be three issues with the printer server:
- in some FW they messed up the mini-lpd, so it never starts. use schufti’s latest (MGB100_400S07.upg), it should work
- some printers won’t be detected. I was lucky with Canon and HP Inkjet but the HP ScannerPrinter was not detected....
- GDI printers will never work (they won’t work with most cheap -not bidirectional- printservers)

End of the story → Only PCL5 and PCL6 printer are Supported. After my Support request, they edit the Productsheet on www.level-one.de, but not on http://global.level1.com/.

setting the Xerox Phaser 3117 Printer in Windows 2K/XP(NT based):
Windows 2000 and XP (NT based) have built-in LPR client, users could utilize this feature to Print. You have to install your Printer Driver on LPT1 or other ports (Standard TCP/IP port):
- Open Printers and Faxs.
- Select “Ports” page, Click “Add Port…”
- Select “Standard TCP/IP Port”, and then click “New Port…”
- Click Next and then provide the following information :
- Type address of server providing LPD that is our NAT device: 192.168.xxx.xxx (replace 192.168.xxx.xxx with your wireless file server IP address)
- Select Custom, then click “Settings…”
- Select “LPR”, type ” lp“ lowercase letter in “Queue Name:”
- Enable “LPR Byte Counting Enabled”.
- Apply your settings: click “Finish” Button
